On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the NAWAREUM in Straubing invites you to the felt workshop Bag in Bag. In about three hours, under professional guidance, a personalized felt case made from colorful local wool will be created - practical, sustainable, and uniquely designed.
Craft event experience with natural materials
The focus is on the wet felting process. Participants will learn how to transform a flat wool surface step by step into a stable shape. Different colors and patterns give each bag its own character. The calm event atmosphere and the hands-on work with wool, water, and soap make the workshop a sensual creative experience for adults.
Felting for beginners and experienced creatives
Beginners in felting are expressly welcome. The certified felting designer Delia Grimm will accompany the course with her experience and convey the basics clearly and practically. Since 2011, she has been working in her felt workshop Augentrost above the rooftops of Deggendorf and offers a changing course program as well as workshops for different target groups each year.
Small group, individual design
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of eight people. This creates a personal working atmosphere with space for questions, personal ideas, and focused designing. Various proposals will be available, so everyone will take home a uniquely patterned, seamlessly crafted bag.

The workshop starts at 5:00 PM and is expected to end around 8:00 PM. The meeting point is the cash register of the NAWAREUM at Schulgasse 23a. For hygienic work during wet felting, all participants are kindly requested to bring a towel and soap, preferably plant oil soap like olive soap.
The event planning is aimed at adults who enjoy sustainable craftsmanship, local materials, and creative course formats. Participation costs 34 euros per person, including a 30 euro course fee and 4 euro material fee.
