Christmas Voices: Festive Choral Sound Meets Symphonic Brass Power

On December 10, 2026, the Joseph von Fraunhofer Hall in Straubing will transform into a sonorous advent space. At the Christmas concert Christmas Voices, the Police Orchestra of Bavaria and the Regensburger Domspatzen will come together – a concert experience combining impressive orchestration, clear boys' choir voices, and festive anticipation.

A Musical Advent Evening with Great Sonic Range

The program connects well-known German Christmas songs with symphonic works. The combination of wind orchestra and large boys' choir creates an extraordinary diversity of sound: warm brass, bright woodwinds, and the transparent choral sound of the Regensburger Domspatzen merge into a festive overall picture.

Tschaikovsky, Strauss, and Familiar Christmas Melodies

The program includes works by Peter I. Tschaikovsky and Richard Strauss, among others. Symphonic passages meet beloved Advent sounds, giving well-known melodies new musical contours. Precise conducting, finely tuned synchronization, and the dynamic stage performance of the police orchestra create a great musical dramaturgy.
